Debris, by Michael Scharrer, rendered with POV-Ray. Debris of an ancient structure slowly floating around in space. The various pieces are isosurfaces based on the Julia fractal with different parameters. Because a lot of smoothing is applied to the Blocks, their fractal structure is lost. The large block in the upper left was manually placed, but all other positions, rotations and parameters are randomly chosen by an algorithm. Some of the more distant junk is implemented using hyperellipsoids to save render time.
