Nuclear Containment - v1
Nuclear Containment, by Michael Scharrer, rendered with POV-Ray.
A futuristic, and not quite realistic, nuclear power plant floating in space. Special focus is given to one of the containment devices within the facility. Both the radioactive plutonium ring and it's cage are implemented as isosurfaces. The green radiation and the bright colorful transformers are based on rather simple volumetric media objects. Most objects and connecting pipes are placed and rotated automatically based on a random seed. However, some were manually placed for aesthetic reasons. There is a newer version availible. This is version 1 out of 4.
